Tony Gordon is a respected Aboriginal artist, craftsman and creative mentor with a lifelong passion for making, creating and sharing his knowledge.
Tony has worked across a diverse range of artistic mediums throughout his creative journey, developing a broad skill set and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship.
A naturally creative person, Tony's versatility extends beyond painting into a wide range of artistic and practical disciplines. His ability to work confidently across multiple mediums, combined with his innovative thinking and attention to detail, has earned him respect for both his creativity and his craftsmanship.
Known for his generous nature and willingness to mentor others, Tony enjoys sharing his knowledge and inspiring creativity in those around him. I'm Melanie Kathleen, a proud Wangerriburra and Tubbah Gah woman, contemporary Aboriginal artist and creative storyteller whose work is inspired by culture, Country, community and the natural beauty of Australia. Through my creative practice, I explore the enduring connection between people, place and the stories that have been shared across generations, creating artwork that is both visually engaging and deeply meaningful.
Through Melony's Arts, my work spans large-scale murals, public art, cultural installations, original fine art, digital illustration, workshops and handcrafted collections. Every project is thoughtfully designed to celebrate identity, foster connection and transform spaces into places where stories can be shared, relationships can grow and communities can feel represented.
Collaboration is at the heart of everything I create. I enjoy working alongside schools, hospitals, councils, community organisations, businesses and Traditional Owners to develop artworks that are authentic, culturally respectful and unique to each space. Every mural and artwork is created through listening, collaboration and a shared vision, ensuring each piece reflects the people, stories and Country it represents.
Inspired by Australia's landscapes, waterways, native wildlife and rich cultural heritage, my artistic style combines contemporary Aboriginal design with flowing forms, vibrant colour and symbolic storytelling. My hope is that every artwork encourages moments of reflection, strengthens connection to Country and leaves a lasting impression long after the paint has dried.
I believe art has the power to bring people together, spark conversation and create a sense of belonging. Through every commission, workshop and collection, my goal is to create meaningful experiences that celebrate culture, inspire creativity and leave a positive legacy within the communities I work with.
